생각나는 김에

다시 보냅니다

Dear Little Bear,

나의 별명이 작은 흰곰이라

mail 별명으로 했다오.

This morning I am so glad to read your poetic mail.

Thank you very much for your kind letter.

I always think of the hard time we spent with you at beautiful Hadong long time ago.

I remember some friends who gave me much kindness and help.

You are among them.

어려웠던 시절의 고향은

진정한 우정을 알게 한 것일 뿐,

귀천을 구별했던

허상의 도움은 진정 없었네.

I am sorry to write in English.

In fact I cannot write in Korean well by computer,

so please understand me.

I am trying to learn it now.

문명의 이기를 잘 사용하는 것은 

우리의 우정을 더욱 귀하게 하는 것일세.

배우는 것은 언제나 새로운 아름다움 아닌가.

영어나 한글이나 같은 말이나,

우정은 한글을 아는 만큼만 영어를 알게 된다네. 

Some day when you visit Busan on business or for plesaure,

let me know it.

Then I will invite you to my home and have a drink with you.
